Caves are secluded places in the geographical location of our lives. It’s actually a spiritual workshop where issues are work through and out of our lives
The Cave is a symbol or shadow of the original manufacturing industry where spare parts are not lacking, in this Cave, everything is repairable and replaceable including dead lives. The Cave is where every man’s lost calling and ordination can be traced back to its original source of supply. Where dead dreams and dormant visions are given life and reactivated, callings and ordinations are preordained again.
Now, no matter how smooth and careful you drive in this journey of life, a time will come when you will suddenly found yourself in that sector of your life, where we will lift up a cry like the monarch of Zion and equally wish the cup is passed over our head but the good news is that, the will of God will precedes. This is when the Cave experience becomes our anchor in the times of storm.
In this Cave that I speak about, nothing is ever lost and we do not look for things not lost but we are drifted and compelled by the intervention of the mercy of God, in other to embrace grace in the time of need and recover all that the devil destroyed and stole from us.
FOUR (4) DIMENSIONS OF THE CAVE (Mystery)
The first thing I would want us to note here is; The Cave is a secluded place! A civilization cut off from the comfort of human kind.
Genesis 19: 30
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
KJV
First Dimension:
So the Cave from this context of my extract, which is a mystery, is that; the Cave is a hiding place, where men hide their heads for safety and refuge most especially during life battles.
Josh 10:16-18
16 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.
17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
KJV
The Bible declares that Five (5) kings and in verse (3), even the king of Jerusalem, all went into hiding in the Cave of Makkedah.
1 Sam 22:1
David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
KJV
Whenever destruction is about to engulf a man’s life, there is always a pre-intervention of the mercy of God that drift and compels a man into the Cave for divine attention and we must be sensitive to that secluded sector of our life to embrace it.
Second Dimension:
Gen 23:9
That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a burying place amongst you.
KJV
The Cave is for dead men, a place where men exchange their lives for that which is God’s. Where dead men are buried, where no human body has no say or given an option to decide the way of live.
The only way to say alive in this Cave is to remain dead. It was Paul the Apostle that said, for I die daily. That was a Cave experience.
Third Dimension:
1 Kings 18:4
For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
KJV
The Cave is where men that are tasty and hungered for God are given to drink from this fountain of water and are fed with unleavened bread, which gives right to build the capacity to overpower sin.
Fourth Dimension:
1 Kings 19:9
And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
KJV
1 Kings 19:9,12,13
And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
KJV
Emphasis: Verses 12 & 13
There was an earthquake and fire but the Bible said, the Lord was not in the fire.
NB: When Elijah heard it, he was quite and wrapped his face in his mantle, went outside and stood at the entering of the Cave and behold there came a voice. May I say this to you quickly, that in the Cave, there are several noise echoing within our minds but there is a voice we need to hear by discernment. Isa 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. At the midst of every junction of confusion in our lives, there is always a voice which is the word of God.
The Cave is where men receive the word of the lord for their next face in life.
WITH THE BUDDEN UPON MY SOUL, I DEDICATE THIS CHARGE TO MY FELLOW ADULLAMITE, RCN BIBLE SEMINARY, ADULLAM
What’s our ideology about the Cave of Adullam, where we suddenly found ourselves in this accurate season of our lives? It is not a place where we come and displayed the stuff we have been made up of, if they were to be good enough, we won’t be here in the first case. Neither is it a place where we lobby to gain access to remain behind the microphone. Regards this, my father in the Lord once said; (Apostle Arome Osayi) that to some people, they came to acquire title and certificate but let yours be an adventure in the body of Christ for a lifetime but above all, Adullam is the place for wounded soldiers that need quick and quite attention, so that our enemies do not hear our wailing so loud and attack before we are made whole.
This Cave is not a noisy place but a spiritual theatre where sensitive surgical operations are been carried out upon the hearts of men. During this surgical operation, no deposit orchestrated by darkness is left untouched because there is a light that unveils all things. He was before all things and in Him all thing consist in him, all things were made by him and without him was nothing made that was made.
I’m talking about the monarch of Zion, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one in which the mystery of the Cave is birthed.
He is the safety and the refuge, He the first born of the father, who voluntarily died yet live through eternity, He is the fountain and the bread of life, He is the voice that echoes in the realm of the spirit as the word of God in which we have received. He is the only personality we encounter in the Cave, He was before all things and all things consist in Him.
The most incredible thing about this cave experience is the truth I would love bring to your notice by revelation. The physical look of the cave of Adullam with every wounded soldier suddenly found there seems to be the same in shape by perception but our individual journey is never the same. The ability to decipher and discern the reason and purpose why God allowed you there would determine the pathway that you would pedestal as an accurate kingdom functionary and all this are embedded in your personal encounter with God.Â
NB: I would love to end this page by saying; the worst thing that can happen to a man is when God is by him and he is not aware. The toughest time in your life as a kingdom functionary, is nothing less than your cave experience.Â
