Knowing God Experientially

Knowing God is not just about knowing about God, but about experiencing God in a personal and intimate way. It’s about having a living, breathing relationship with the Creator of the universe.

For many of us, our journey with God is filled with ups and downs. We experience moments of profound connection and intimacy, followed by periods of dryness and disconnection. But it’s in these moments of uncertainty that we are invited to press in and experience God in a deeper way.

One of the most powerful ways to know God experientially is through personal divine encounters. These are moments when we experience God’s presence, love, and power in a tangible way. It might be a vision, a dream, a prophetic word, or a simple moment of awareness of God’s presence.

These encounters can be life-changing, but they can also be fleeting. They often leave us feeling inspired and motivated, but also a bit uncertain about how to sustain the experience.

When we experience God in this way, we’re invited to work with God, to partner with Him in the unfolding of our lives and the lives of those around us. This means being open to God’s leading, being willing to take risks, and trusting that God is working all things together for our good.

It means being obedient to God’s voice, even when it’s hard, even when it doesn’t make sense. It means trusting that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

But the journey with God is not always easy. There are ups and downs, twists and turns. We experience moments of breakthrough, followed by moments of testing. We face challenges and obstacles, and we wonder if God is really with us.

But it’s in these moments that we are invited to keep keeping on. To press in, to seek God with all our hearts, and to trust that He is working all things together for our good.

So how do we keep keeping on? We keep our eyes on God, we focus on His presence, and we trust in His goodness. We remind ourselves of His promises, and we hold onto His word.

We also surround ourselves with people who will encourage us, support us, and pray for us. We take care of ourselves, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And we keep moving forward, one step at a time.

Knowing God experientially is a journey, not a destination. It’s a journey of discovery, of growth, and of transformation. And it’s a journey that’s worth taking, no matter what ups and downs we may face.
